The Real Estate Company – Mountain Division
Colorado families are facing unimaginable loss as wildfires continue to spread across the state. At The Real Estate Company Mountain Division, we know that home is more than a structure — it represents safety, stability, and the foundation everything else is built on. When that is threatened or taken, the need for community support is immediate and real.
We are sharing two concrete ways you can help right now — whether that's connecting a displaced family to financial assistance or contributing to the ongoing recovery effort. Please read, share, and act if you're able.
If you know anyone who has been displaced or whose home has been damaged by the recent Colorado wildfires, please share this page with them. Many families may not realize this assistance is available.
Who qualifies for the mortgage and rental relief grant
The Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation has opened applications specifically for families displaced by Colorado's 2026 summer wildfires. Grants of up to $1,500 are available to help cover:
- Monthly mortgage payments on a wildfire-damaged primary residence
- Rental costs resulting from displacement from a primary residence
- Households displaced from their primary residence by the 2026 Colorado wildfires

Why the relief fund matters beyond the grants
The mortgage and rental grants provide immediate relief — but recovery from a disaster of this scale takes far longer than any single grant cycle. The CAR Foundation's 2026 Wildfire Relief Fund exists to bridge that gap, channeling donations to trusted nonprofit organizations serving communities on the ground throughout the full arc of recovery.
As the leading real estate team in Grand County, we have a deep and personal stake in the resilience of Colorado's mountain communities. These are our neighbors, our clients, and the families we've worked alongside for years. Every contribution to the relief fund — regardless of size — helps restore stability to people who are working to rebuild from nothing.
How you can help right now
The single most impactful thing you can do right now is share this information widely. Post it, text it, email it to anyone who may know a displaced Colorado family. Many people who qualify for these grants will never apply simply because they don't know they exist. Awareness is the first step to recovery.
If you or someone you know has been directly impacted by the 2026 Colorado wildfires and has questions about housing stability, property damage, insurance claims, or what options exist for displaced homeowners, our team is available to help navigate those conversations — at no cost and with no obligation.
Real estate is about more than transactions. It's about the communities those transactions happen in — and right now, our community needs us.
